Our efforts to preserve and promote art and culture in India take shape in the form of Artyculture. Through this section, we shed light on the initiatives undertaken by Tata Steel’s Centre For Excellence. Art exhibitions, film festivals, competitions and training sessions for students and support for tribal arts form the core of our activities.
The hub of Artyculture is The Centre for Excellence (CFE), Jamshedpur. The Centre owes its genesis to the vision of JRD Tata. He conceptualised and created it to showcase the very best, which has become synonymous with the House of Tata.
A galaxy of luminaries such as Mr. Ratan N. Tata, Dr. Jamshed J. Irani &
Mr. S. A. Sabavala, Founding Members and Trustees, gave shape to the vision of JRD Tata, and built and dedicated this magnificent landmark of pyramids and pillars to the citizens of Jamshedpur. It is a public building of Tata Steel which houses exhibition halls, an archive block, an auditorium, a library and offices for associated organizations.
Artyculture is an initiative to bring
art and culture to the forefront,
through exciting events, workshops
and a repository of rare artifacts.
The initiative is powered by the
Centre for Excellence, an institute
that has extended a platform for
performing arts & cultural activities.
The who’s who of statesmen and celebrities frequently grace the grounds and halls of The Centre For Excellence. Their journey through CFE encompasses our extensive archives, auditorium and galleries. Take a look.
